EASTER BAPTISM ROLE DESCRIPTIONS

Thank you for joining the Baptism Volunteer Team this Easter! Our service times are:

Saturday, April 19 at 5pm | Sunday, April 20 at 9am & 11am

SET-UP – Help with set-up of stations and tables needed for baptisms. Come to the back of the Worship Center/outdoor loading dock area at 3pm on Saturday.

BAPTISM BUDDY – Walk with the people who want to get baptized and help with towels, visiting stations and filling out forms. Sit in the first three rows of the “reserved” seats in the back of the Worship Center.

BAPTISM BUDDY HISPANIC  – Walk with the people who ONLY speak Spanish who want to get baptized and help with towels, visiting stations and filling out forms. Sit in the first three rows of “reserved” seats in the back of the Worship Center.

RUNNER/RESTOCK - Be available to run to get things as needed and re-stock the stations after the service. Come to the back of the Worship Center/outdoor loading dock area as the service comes to an end.

TOWEL STATION - Hand out towel(s) to the baptism buddy side of stage. Stand at the towel station beside the stairs to the stage.

BAG/T-SHIRTS (WORSHIP CENTER) – Hand out empty bags to the baptism buddy and an oversized t-shirt to those who need to wear a darker t-shirt for baptism. Stand at the table in the back of the Worship Center where people line up for baptisms.

OUTSIDE STATIONS (Baptism Bash After Party)

       · Greeters – Back stage greeting and assisting with logistics.

       · Registration Tent – Help the baptized person fill out the baptism form either on their phone or an iPad.

       · T-Shirts Tent – Hand out a t-shirt to the baptized person.

       · Photo Booth Tent – Assist our photographer with logistics for baptism photos.

       · Quest 52 Book Table – Hand out books to baptized people who don’t have them already.

FAMILY GATHERING AREA – Hang out at the tent near baptistry to congratulate the baptized people and their families, offer to take their family pics etc.

MOSAIC WALL – Help guide baptized person to sign the mosaic wall in the Lobby near baptistry.

OUTDOOR BAPTISTRY – Assist with the handing out of towels, big stickers, and bags and guiding the baptized people to the stations in the docking area. Stand at the table at the baptistry. Make sure people go to the Jesus wall in the backstage after the baptism.

LAUNDRY – Wash towels and clothes either in the church laundry room or take them home and bring them back Sunday morning. Come to the laundry room that is in the nursery area of the worship center AFTER the service.

WEST AUDITORIUM OVERFLOW HELPER – Help people sitting in the West Auditorium get to the Worship Center/outdoor baptistry for baptisms. Come to the West Auditorium Lobby and stand at the entrance doors of the West Auditorium.

TEAR DOWN – Help tear down and clean up after all services. Come to the back of the Worship Center/outdoor loading dock area at 1 pm on Sunday.
